30 years of decisions. Real businesses. Real accountability.
Ravi Jain has spent 30 years in the chair — as Managing Director and CFO across construction, manufacturing, hospitality and professional services businesses in the UK and Australia. From ambitious family-owned SMEs to listed PLCs, across businesses that were growing fast, restructuring under pressure, preparing for sale, or trying to break through a ceiling that no one could quite explain.
He has sat at the table when the decisions were real — responsible for the full P&L and balance sheet, the growth strategy, the people and the governance. Not as an adviser brought in for a project. As the person accountable for the outcome.
Ravi moved to Perth 12 years ago with his family and has made this city genuinely home. He understands this market from the inside — the cycles, the sectors, and the specific dynamics of a resources-driven economy and what that means for the businesses that support and surround it. He is a qualified accountant, awarded the Fellowship from CGMA, and remains committed to CPD — though what he brings to every engagement is grounded far more in three decades of lived experience than any qualification.
Outside of work, Ravi manages and plays for his local masters football team, takes part in his local Park Run, and walks the family dog around the neighbourhood.
"Thirty years of sitting in the chair has taught me one thing above all others — the ceiling is almost never where the owner thinks it is." — The Trent Bridge Approach
Growing up in Nottingham, I would cross the Trent Bridge to watch cricket — Ashes battles on one of England's great grounds.
A short walk away, Nottingham Forest under Brian Clough achieved something that still defies easy explanation: from a mid-table club to First Division champions, then back-to-back European Cup winners within a few extraordinary years. What Clough built wasn't just a winning team — it was a system. Clear strategy, the right structure, belief in every individual's role, and the agility to adapt when the game demanded it.
That combination — strategy, structure, belief and agility — is the philosophy behind Trent Bridge Advisory. We are here to be the bridge between where your business is today and what it is genuinely capable of becoming: a stronger, more valuable business.
To build stronger, more valuable businesses for SME owners — by integrating strategy, operations and financial leadership into one cohesive approach that delivers results the whole business can see, feel and share in.
To be the trusted partner that business owners look back on as the turning point — the engagement that unlocked what the business was genuinely capable of, and helped build a legacy worth being proud of.
Trent Bridge Advisory brings together strategy, operations and financial leadership within a single, accountable engagement. This integrated approach means every initiative is evaluated against the whole business, not just the workstream it sits within. The result is faster progress, fewer blind spots and advice that holds up when it meets reality.

Disciplines fully aligned in every engagement — business strategy, operations and finance working as one
Business functions covered — with a preferred panel of specialist partners where deeper expertise is required
What our clients have valued most is having someone genuinely in their corner — who understands the whole business, can contribute meaningfully from the boardroom to the factory floor, and is available and agile when a decision can't wait for the next scheduled meeting. That is what Trent Bridge Advisory is built to deliver.
These are the standards every Trent Bridge Advisory engagement is held to — and the ones our clients are encouraged to hold us to as well.
Direct, independent advice — always in our client's best interest. If something needs to be said, it will be said clearly, respectfully and early enough to make a difference.
30 years of active leadership across real businesses in real markets. Every recommendation is grounded in direct experience of the situations our clients face — not theory, not frameworks, not someone else's case study.
We understand what a growing business looks like from the inside — the cash pressure, the people constraints, the competing priorities. Every recommendation is practical, agile and built for the world our clients are actually operating in.
The commitment is straightforward: deliver in full, on time, on budget. We believe our income should follow the outcomes we create. Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.
As a boutique advisory firm we work with a selected number of clients at any one time. This model allows for genuine presence, direct involvement and the kind of agile response that larger firms simply cannot provide. We work with businesses where the complexity and pace of growth have started to outrun the teams, systems and decision making structures that got them here.
"A strategy that can't survive contact with your cash flow isn't a strategy. It's a wish list." — The Trent Bridge Approach
